Wish List
Everyday Paul Cuffee School faculty discover new
opportunities to improve the academic performance and physical
well-being of our students. Usually fulfilling these needs costs a
little extra, an expense that our annual operating budget doesn’t
include. You can make a very big difference, sometimes in a very
small way, by funding or
donating any of the following:
- Six (6) new or
nearly new DVD/VHS players with TV monitors
for middle school classrooms.
- All 27 lower and middle school classrooms need
healthy snacks in bulk to satisfy the mid-morning and
afternoon hunger of 486 students in grades K-8. No nuts please.
- Middle School Sports Program Sponsorships
for each PCS Team (soccer, basketball, baseball and track) to make it
possible for all students to participate.
- Middle School Drama Club Funds
(Help underwrite the cost of a professional drama coach, scripts,
sets and costumes).
-
Field Trip Fees (Make it possible
for all students to afford admission costs.)
-
Bus transportation is one of the
biggest expenses associated with field trips and after school
enrichment programs. Costs range from $100+ per bus for swimming
lessons at the YMCA, to $1500 for a seventh grade day trip to NYC.
-
Book store gift cards: Paul Cuffee
School students LOVE to read and many of them are voracious
readers! You can reinforce their reading enthusiasm by sending in
gift cards for local bookstores or online sources. Your donations
will help buy multiple copies of award-winning titles for students
who participate in our annual book clubs.
- The library/media center needs
DVDs to support
the school's core curriculum in the sciences and humanities.
High quality, thought provoking, age appropriate and culturally
inclusive films about the natural environment, world history,
animals and other species, scientific inventions, human behavior,
classic literature, true stories of courage and leadership,
mythology, olympic sports, performance and visual art reinforce
learning in powerful ways.A gift certificate to Amazon or another
video outlet will help our librarian to stock our shelves in both
the lower and middle school buildings.
